Les Chants des Saisons - EXPO

Frank, Xander, and I would like to invite you to the opening of the exhibition 'Les Chants des Saisons' on July 25 at 4 PM. The address is Onder den Toren 1 in Middelburg.

*Les Chants des Saisons* is a multimedia exhibition in the space under the Lange Jan in Middelburg, where art by Frank van der Meijden, video images by Xander Koppelmans, and my music come together. The basis of the installation is a composition for two pianos of the same name that captures the essence of the four seasons. The music inspired Frank to create four three-dimensional tableaux. Xander's videos complement the experience of the seasonal cycle. 

The exhibition was created in collaboration with the 'Lange Jan Project'.

DOUWE EISENGA

Pianist and composer Douwe Eisenga writes sparkling music for sparkling minds, a hypnotizing mix of rhythm, haunting melodies, and compelling lyricism. Over the past twenty years, his music has gained worldwide attention. He works with, among others, British writer David Mitchell, American choreographer Claudia Schreier, and the Russian Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble. Closer to home, he writes music for harpist Lavinia Meijer, pianist Jeroen van Veen, Cello Octet Amsterdam, Slagwerk Den Haag, and many others.  

FRANK VAN DER MEIJDEN

Frank van der Meijden made a name for himself as a manager of several well-known Dutch pop groups. His contribution to pop music was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award and the Royal Decoration Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau. In 2010, he returned to his passion for visual arts. He creates contemporary visual stories with found objects assembled in a new context. These mostly three-dimensional tableaux have been exhibited in Amsterdam, Miami, Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, and Paris.

XANDER KOPPELMANS

Xander Koppelmans started an advertising agency in Goes in 1991, offering photography and video services. The business grew into a creative studio serving over 600 companies such as Rabobank Nederland, Rijkswaterstaat, STER, Nutricia, Danone, Albert Heijn, 30 municipalities, BLØF, Ritel, and many other fine brands.
